El binomio 100 millas y semana importante de la temporada siempre van de la mano. Una semana muy esperada por cada uno de nosotros y unos objetivos muy dispares. Hasta Beasain se desplazó Rafa Martinez, Joan Grau y Alejandro Galindo para disfrutar de una una carrera con una organización muy TOP. Dar muchos ánimos a Diego Almellones y a Seku Tapia que finalmente no pudieron debutar en Beasain.

Empezamos el resumen desglosado por corredores:
RAFA MARTINEZ
En febrero comenzamos la preparación de estas 100 millas tras el abandono en top10 el año anterior en las 100 millas de Vall d’Aran y el anterior top5 en toda una Ronda dels Cims en Andorra.
Una preparación que incluyó un día de montaña a la semana, dos maratones de montaña y la Travessa d’Encamp. Esta vez sin tiradas largas.
Si de algo pecamos normalmente es de rodar demasiado pronto en posiciones delanteras. Así que la indicación 1 fue siempre empezar tranquilo y ser conservador. Pero no fue suficiente…
¿Algún objetivo realista? 25h y TOP5 era el objetivo de salida. Luego las carreras ponen a cada uno en sus sitio junto a las mil circunstancias y complicaciones que pueden aparecer en 25h.
La salida fue tranquila y tras unos primero parciales rozando el top50 y el top25, pronto en el km50 entramos en un top5 y top3 que nos hacían soñar muy alto. La Ehnumilak engaña y lo que parece una ventaja teniendo 30km finales de prácticamente bajada, realmente es una auténtica batalla psicológica contra uno mismo. Coronamos Andratz en tercera posición para desinflarnos poco a poco y caer hasta la 16 posición final absoluta con 28h.
¡Muy grande Rafa! El que lo da todo no está obligado a más. Nos hiciste soñar, y seguro que de aquí sacas un aprendizaje para la siguiente tentativa.
ALEJANDRO GALINDO
Otro que se dejó caer por las 100 millas vascas en lo que sería su segunda Ehunmilak. ¿Objetivo realista? 27h30′ ¿Objetivo discreto? Sub30h. ¿Objetivo principal? Ser finisher a toda costa para poder participar en el sorteo de la HardRock100.
Tras una temporada de ensueño justo la semana previa tuvo un esguince de tobillo. Así que el plan A pasó a ser B o C. Finalmente 29h y 10′ fueron suficientes para conseguir ser finisher.
JOAN GRAU
Poco a poco y sin hacer ruido, Joan se puso en la linea de salida de la espectacular G2H con 90km y +6000 metros de desnivel. Con paso firme y los deberes hechos marcó un tiempazo de 16h. Y lo mejor de todo, unas grandísimas sensaciones que le dejan un gran sabor de boca de cara a la próxima en Guara Somontano.
Enhorabuena Joan, has sabido cumplir y ser constante durante estos meses. Has visto como con un poco cada día se pueden obtener grandísimas sensaciones.
